Summer adventure is just around the corner! And what is more appealing than visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island, ME. We used to gather for family reunions and dine on the grassy grounds of the Bar Harbor Inn overlooking Frenchman Bay. Bar Harbor is a quaint town situated on the east side of Mount Desert Island which happens to be the 2nd largest island on the eastern seaboard. Roughly half the island is Acadia National Park, the first National Park established east of the Mississippi. Acadia National Park also enjoys a top ten ranking for most visited in the park system.
